Talk about the process
Let people know what you’re doing. You may be surprised by the response! I am making a point of telling my friends and family that I have a goal of paying everything that I owe off. My friends are used to my various personal projects: No shopping for Lent, how long can I go without grocery shopping, etc. So, they have met this new pronouncement with amused resignation. Of course M’s doing another project! I let my regular Starbuck’s Barista know that I am cutting down on buying coffee. She then told me that she was doing the same thing because after expenses she had $75 left. She then proceeded to give me her weekly bag of coffee!!! (Starbucks employees get a bag free each week. But, it gets out of hand after awhile!)So, awesome. Now, I have a lovely bag of dark whole bean coffee. I also spoke to a friend who gave the best advice “Just stick with it.” Nuff’ said.
