Before I begin, I should mention that I purchased some travel sized product for a trip that I went on two weeks ago. The last time I travelled I forgot about the restrictions on liquids and brought my full-sized products. Sadly, all were tossed out. This time I wanted to avoid that. So, I bought some travel sized product…forgetting that I would receive some product in my hotel room. Here is the stuff that I used up in March.
The product in the picture below is what I received from the hotel that I stayed at in Atlanta. It was Bath and Body Works Orange and Ginger-one of my favorite scents!! I also will be introduced to Citrus and Aloe which is a scent I’ve never used before. I was so happy and a little shocked.
I cook at least 85%-90% of my meals. I wanted to include pictures of some simple dishes that I made this week. The first is a simple quiche, the second is homemade pho. The key with the pho is making the broth the night before so that the broth and intensify.
Quiche with Turkey Bacon-I brought slices everyday to work for breakfast. Then, I made a cup of coffee at work. We have a coffee bean grinder and a great coffee pot. I also bring creamer from home.
That’s what I’m talking about! That’s hoisin sauce and sriracha sauce. The garnish is lime, jalapeño, pickled onion (just onion plus vinegar), cilantro, and mint. So delicious.
SPENDING RECAP-LAST TWO WEEKS
I like seeing people’s spending recaps. It’s the mundane minutiae that connects us. The daily errands, the busy days that we didn’t plan well, and the forgotten lunches on our counters. That’s part of the reason why I do these recaps because it’s a window into what I’m doing. It’s up to you to read between the lines about my moods, my ups, and downs when it comes to the spending. I did two weeks worth of a snapshot because I wanted to show how I spent on this trip.

BIKRAM YOGA 30 DAY CHALLENGE-That’s hot yoga to you!
Summer is coming and it’s time to get rid of my winter love pudge. I spent a lot of time and energy consuming delicious and filling meals after the Vegan Challenge and during the 6 weeks that I was sick following the Vegan Challenge. So, I’ve gained a little weight. But, to be honest the weight gain is the result of sitting on my butt too much and not working out enough. I also think it’s time to do some self-reflection and inner focus. So, I’ve decided to do the Bikram 30 Day Challenge. This is one challenge that I just might fail at. Luckily, I have a groupon for Corepower Yoga $59 for a month of unlimited classes. If I paid for each class it would be $15 a class or $450 dollars for the month.
AD PROJECT PARTICIPANTS-A HUGE THANK YOU!
I wanted to say “Thank You!” to the following wonderful bloggers: Sarah from Pretty Providence, Toni from Debt Free Divas, and Jen from The Happy Homeowner! for letting do an ad management test run using them as my test subjects. I’m really glad that I did it because I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. I realized that there are some things that I could do better and will work on that so that when I get a client who is paying for ad space I can make it a fantastic, profitable, and easy experience for them.

I have a lot of fun trying to figure out how to cook things that I eat at restaurants. I’ve made the pho before but this time it kicked BUT!!! It was delicious. I can’t wait to make it again.

I love ginger scents. I’ve never tried the BBW orange ginger and didn’t know they made one. I’ll have to look next time we go. Bf is a germaphobe and only uses the BBW sanitizers in the little bottles. I buy the big bottles as refills and fill them at home because it’s cheaper (considering the mass quantity he uses).

I am obsessed with the orange ginger scent and my body wash was running low in that scent before my trip. I have one of the BBW sanitizers but I only use it when I’m out of the country or traveling. I’ve had the same mini bottle for several years. I use public transportation and have the idea that being exposed to all of those germs gives me a certain level of germ immunity. LOL 🙂

Nice job!! Good luck with the Bikram challenge. I’m not sure I could manage that one. I should do some kind of challenge though…hmmmm. Your food looks so yummy!

The Bikram Challenge will be really rough the first 2 weeks from what I’ve been told. It’s one of two challenges that I have doubts about. The other challenge I’m talking about in tomorrow’s post. The pho kicked a@@ I couldn’t believe how well it turned out this time!

That quiche looks delicious! How long did it stay fresh for? Mr M doesn’t do eggs, so I would be eating it on my own!

It was great! And it lasted 5 days. I ate it for breakfast at work, just popped it into the microwave for about 45 seconds. Yum!
