Whenever I get the chance, I go to the mountains. I’m lucky because I live in Colorado so the mountains (the base of them) are just an hour away from my house. Hiking trips in the backcountry, exploring the foothills of Boulder, and preparing for my eventual hike on the Colorado Trail. For those of you who love mountains as much as I do, I’ve found a ton of awesome things that you can gift yourself. Mountain obsessed people are some of my favorite people!

Do the mountains call you as much as they call me? This mug is great for your next camping trip.
Don’t need a mug? This cute t-shirt proclaims your mountain love in stylish fashion!
You can never have enough socks. Just saying.
This necklace is so cute!!
One of my favorite accent pieces in most cabins is a fake bear rug. This one is actually a mix between a throw and a rug. Love it.
Candles are great as long as you watch them and don’t burn your house down.
It’s now time for me to replace my old boots. I’ve had my eye on these for awhile! Can’t wait to get a pair.
These Sorel Wedges are so freaking cute and super stylish for days hanging out in Breckenridge.
Every time I go on a hike we pass streams and I’m tempted to drink from one…but, I don’t because I don’t want giardia. But, if I had one of these cool straws and ran out of water-I would be all set!!
For awhile there, I was super obsessed with this story, this journey, and the notion of doing a thru hike experience. Did you get a chance to read the book or watch the movie?
The weather can change quickly in the mountains so it’s important to have the right gear. This jacket is both stylish and functional for the days when trekking through the snow.
Whenever I go to the mountains, I spend a lot of time sitting in front of the fire. There’s nothing better than having a glass of wine and coloring in front of the fire.
It seems like every Colorado woman has a hat with varying sizes of a “poof” at the top of it. My hat is red (my color for the year) and the “poof” is mid-sized. I love it so much and get a ton of compliments.
I’m not sure why but I have a weird thing with wearing gloves. I don’t like wearing them…but, I hate having cold hands. These are a nice in-between. Not too bulky and cute.
For those of you into “onesie life.” Your welcome.
There’s nothing worse than snow blindness. I love the snow but I hate it when the sun pierces my eyes as I walk around. These cute glasses are stylish and go well with my hat!
Apres Ski is a lot of fun. Apres ski with a flask-even better!
There is nothing better than chilling out with a fun, smutty novel in front of the fire. This one looks fun!

Thinking About Starting a Blog?
I love blogging! It has been an incredible experience, transformed my life, and connected me with a ton of amazing people. Blogging is a pretty cheap activity and I recommend hosting your blog with Siteground. Many bloggers have begun leaving HostGator and BlueHost and moving to Siteground. Myself included! Read why I’m leaving HostGator and BlueHost (I have 2 blogs one on each hosting platform) and moving to Siteground. If you’re a new blogger Sitegroundwill cost around $3.95 a month (depending on the size of your audience). They have great customer service and tutorials on how to host your new WordPress blog on Siteground
Online Business Resources
If you’re thinking about starting an online business, the resources below are a great way to get started.
- The Ultimate List of FinCon Community Products
- Courses
- Books
- Swag
- Make Money with Ebooks–There is more than one way to make money with your writing skills. I’ve created this course to help inspire, educate, and support writers who are sitting on a book idea…and are afraid to write it. This is YOUR year.Make Money with Ebooks is offered at three different tiers to meet different student needs.
- Self-Study
- Group Program-Includes access to the closed Facebook Group and twice a month live office hours.
- VIP Program-Includes access to the closed Facebook Group, twice a month live office hours, and 2 meetings with Michelle to work on book related strategies, goals, etc.
- $10KVA–Are you curious about becoming a Virtual Assistant as a side-hustle or a potential full-time gig? My friend Kayla Sloan is killing it as a Virtual Assistant and schooling other entrepreneurs in how to become a VA that earns on average $10KVA. This course is what I recommend as the first part of creating a virtual assistant business.
- Making Sense of Affiliate Income-If you’re looking to make affiliate income with your blog, Michelle Schroeder-Gardner’s course is the course that I recommend. She makes well over a $1 Million a year blogging and the biggest chunk of her income comes from affiliate marketing.
- IMark Interactive–Grayson Bell helps me with all of my website related tech issues and he is THE go to guy for WordPress related tech in the several different blogging niches (all the Personal Finance peeps work with him).
- Elite Blog Academy-Many bloggers have gone through this course and I consider this course the “Granddaddy” of all blogging courses. It’s not cheap, but in additional to getting all of the resources that are key to building an incredible blog, you’re also become a part of an insanely supportive (and huge) community of bloggers. Many of whom are making crazy money.
