There are moments when I find myself so annoyed when the things I want don’t happen ON MY TIME. I’m having one of those moments now. There are a couple of things that I would like to have happen that still aren’t happening. I’m putting in the work, I’m staying focused, and I’m trying to be positive.
So What Gives?
Apparently, you can’t force things to happen. Kind of like weight loss, debt repayment, and finding love. Day in and day out you have to show up, be open to the process, and pick yourself up when you stumble. The Universe (and you) will eventually believe in manifesting whatever it is you want to have happen.
This is the part of everyone’s journey where there is the temptation to quit. This is the moment that separates those who will succeed over those who will succumb to the lure of giving up. There are moments that I would like to give up. But then I remember all of the people who sacrificed so that I could have the life that I have and the freedoms that I enjoy. I have no choice but to keep on trying. This makes me crazy, but every time I let things go what I want to happen in my life happens at the right moment.
I know that the process that I’m working for: debt, weight loss, and love work. I’ve met people who have experienced great success doing exactly what I’m trying to do.
Trust the process and trust yourself. This is hard to do. But, I’m 100% committed to succeeding at the goals that I’ve set for myself and I hope that you’re committed to your goals too. The things you want in life are coming to you!
Remember
- Don’t give up!
- You are worthy of having great joy, love, and happiness in your life-it is on its way.
- You have to live in a way that will “invite” what you’re hoping to manifest
- Find or create a “tribe.” I started a blog and found my “tribe” that way. You may find your tribe through volunteerism, a faith based organization, or your kickball league. If you’re reading this post I consider you part of my tribe.
- Make a vision board and make adjustments when needed
Good luck and keep me posted on how things are going!

I am one of those people who hates waiting. I’m not even a little bit patient. Things like paying off debt are hard for me – they can get me really down, because it’s ultimately something I cannot just wave away. I have, in the past, run a marathon so I do try to remind myself that things like debt repayment or weight loss are just like that marathon – it doesn’t happen over night. It takes a lot of hard work. It takes a lot of planning. It takes self-care – otherwise you’ll never make it to the finish line.

I am tired of waiting for the things that I want. But, every time I try to force something it just doesn’t work out anyway. So, I have to work my ability to embrace all aspects of “the Journey.”

True, but sometimes I just don’t have the patience to wait.

I am NOT patient either LOL!

This is for me when rest and regroup comes into play. It’s hard when you hustle and have expectations that aren’t met, but you need that downtime to just take a break from it and find some new perspective. At least that is what I try to do because this kind of thing happens to me all the time. 🙂

I slowed my pace at the end of June and most of July. I’m starting to amp things up again-because I want to and feel invigorated because I took some time to rest. I find when I manage my own expectations better things work out better in the long run.

I found your “manifest” post on pintrest but it was from EARLIER this year (Januaryish 2015)…how did your 2015 manifest go? I’m getting ready to do my 2016 manifest. THis last year lots of changes (positive) have happened (went into 2015 with the mindset that I was going to reclaim my happy, strong, confident healthy self) and I am ready to get to the meat of things (and continue to be happy, healthy, strong and confident). I tried doing a vision board mid 2015 but I believe it was too cluttered causing anxiety LOL. ANYHOW, would love to hear from you and pick up on your great vibes.

Thanks Tori! 2015 went really well and as luck would have it I am in the process of working on my board for 2016. It’s funny that you mention having too many things on your board causing anxiety. I am actually working really hard on streamlining my board so that everything is super simple and clear regarding what I am working towards. I love that you focused on mindset without the right mindset nothing is going to happen. Sending you good vibes and I know you will have an amazing 2016. Let me know how things go.

Does the universe get confused at sloppy writing or remrants of items removed (glued something down then tore it off)….should I start my board over?
Michelle says
I think that’s up to you, don’t over think it and just have fun. I would just glue over the remnants and not think too much about it. Ultimately, a vision board (in my opinion) is a visual representation of what you want for yourself. Make it as nice as you can and have fun with the process.

LoL, yes I tend to over think! Thanks

Ok…got it done….there are a few spots “open” in case I find a picture I’d like to add. I’m very very very excited about 2016! I posted it on my bathroom mirror so I can see it every day!! Now to decide on to restart blogging or not… Thanks for your inspiration!!
