About Michelle:

No matter what project she is working on, all are designed to lead with empathy. She found herself in the personal finance space when her money was "funny" but she wasn't laughing.

In the summer of 2021 she finished paying off over $60,0000 in unsecured debt: credit cards, etc. She's the first to say that she's not perfect with money and still makes mistakes.

She is the 2020 Winner of the Plutus Award "Best Current Events Related Content Related to Personal Finance" for her episode "A Candid Conversation About Race." Her podcast has had 80,000 downloads and growing. And her website has hit 800,000 page views and growing.

An author of both fiction and non-fiction works she's made over $15,000 since 2018 in ebook sales* And is the creator of the course "Make Money with Ebooks" helping hundreds of students get their first books done. Her upcoming book "Not a Financial Unicorn" is available for pre-sale starting August 1, 2021 and will be released in January 2022.

*She stopped working on books in 2020-no surprise. And has restarted her book business the summer of 2021*

Michelle has shared her expertise at the following events: Podcast Movement, FinCon, Podthon, Lola, FinConX, Fuel Your Influence Conference (FYI), CampFi Rocky Mountain,CampFi Joshua Tree and Denver Start Up Week.

Michelle also was a member of the 2020 FinCon Community Advisory Panel tasked with supporting equity and inclusion initiatives within the organization.

She is also the founder of the Money on the Mountain financial retreat for women and the upcoming Not a Financial Unicorn Financial Summit being held January 2022.

She lives in the beautiful state of Colorado and loves it so much that she runs a website and podcast called "Square State" that shares Colorado from a local's perspective. When she's not working on her business you will find her hanging out on coffee shop patios, hiking, spending time with family and friends or rage Tweeting.
