Podcasting has become one of my favorite parts of blogging. I love all of the opportunities to connect with cool people, share stories, and have a conversation with new people. Podcasting gives people a better way to connect with bloggers because you get to hear our voices. As a result, I’ve begun to connect with podcasters from across the U.S. and I started noticing (and wondering) why they weren’t monetizing their podcasts. Let’s be clear, I’m not talking about people who have no interest in monetizing. I’m talking about people who could begin taking small actions that could grow over time. It soon hit me that as a blogger I had an advantage because I understood how to apply blogging monetization strategies to a podcast. In fact, I even put together a panel that presented this topic at the 2017 Podcast Movement Conference held in Anaheim, California.
