It’s painful to admit that I really dropped the ball with my self-care last year. Without health there is no wealth and moving forward I’m making sure that I always have money allocated towards self-care. I wasn’t the only person struggling with this, I had several friends who also struggled with this issue too. No more! Here are some great gifts that you can give to yourself or to the people you love to help them prioritize their wellness.

17 Gifts for Self-Care
At this point you’ve accepted that I’m a little woo-woo LOL!!! The kit below is a “smudging” kit. Basically, there are different crystals that are connected to different energies that you would like to attract. And, there’s the sage bundle. The sage bundle is what I love. I burn sage in my home whenever I feel like the energy in my home needs to be “cleansed/freshened up.” What does this MEAN? Basically, burning sage throughout your home is a way to do that. F.Y.I. your sage should be smokey, not burning like a bush. Then, open up your windows and let the clean energy and air out your place.
I am super intrigued by all of the gold masks out there. There is nothing better than drawing out the impurities from your skin, drinking a glass of wine or tea, and focusing on loving the skin you’re in.
Do you spend a lot of time thinking about a lot of heavy sh$t? I know that I do. In order to keep from overwhelming myself with the thoughts in my mind, I like to get my thoughts out by journaling. Don’t keep all of those thoughts in your head. Get them out, work through them and keep rolling.
My favorite sweatshirt has “Not Today Satan” on it. Besides getting a ton of compliments on it from people when I’m hiking, it’s a great way to declare to the world-don’t mess with me while using some humor.
One of my favorite drinks ever is the Golden Latte. When I’m at home I really enjoy making these with fresh ginger, turmeric, and the various other ingredients to make a great golden latte. But, not everyone has the time (or the ingredients) to do this. Instead, grab a box of Numi Tumeric Chai warm up some milk/almond milk/or soy and make a delicious latte. Then, enjoy it while reading a book and relaxing.
Every time I stay at a hotel-I take a bath (if there is a bathtub). I miss having a bathtub in my house. And, yes, I bring bath bombs with me so that I can enjoy the perfect bathing experience.
It feels like all of my favorite activities involve being tough on my feet: hiking, walking, and dancing. Let’s be clear, I walk A LOT, hike 9 mile loops, and dance as much as possible. Soaking my feet and giving myself pedicures is almost a weekly activity. The simple foot bath below always does the trick!
Well, when you’re soaking your feet it’s a great time to rock out a nice pedicure/manicure. The kit below has everything you need to keep from getting a fungus at your favorite salon. I kid, I kid…but, not really.
One of the interesting developments that I’ve noticed recently in my life is a constant search for silence. Daily life seems so freaking noisy all of the time. If I can’t go hiking, then I’m constantly looking for quiet places so that I can think! Coffee shops are so noisy, co-working spaces can be noisy depending on the day, and sometimes I just need to hear my thoughts. These noise canceling headphones are a must have.
Meditation is a practice that I suck at. But, apps such as “Calm” and others help those of us who struggle to meditate to get in the zone.
I’m renovating my place and embracing a Scandinavian aesthetic. Faux bear throws are so cozy to wrap yourself in while reading your favorite book. The throw below comes in different sizes btw.
I grew up in a home where you didn’t (and still don’t) wear shoes inside. Currently, I wear a pair of indoor Uggs (I got them for free using my ThredUp affiliate credits). But, if I didn’t have those, I would grab a pair of the booties below. There’s nothing worse than having cold feet.
There is nothing better than burning a wonderful, clean smelling candle. My favorite way to do this is to have multiple candles inside a small aquarium that can have: sand, water, or nothing on the bottom. It’s a safer way to burn the candle. There’s nothing like the flicker of a candle as you meditate or relax. Don’t forget to make sure it’s completely out before going to bed. I’m super, super careful!
Sometimes people need to focus on attracting happiness into their lives. And, it’s helpful to focus on what is already wonderful in your life. Sometimes it’s easy to get distracted by the negative stuff. Don’t.
Joy is an emotion that I’m blessed to say that I’ve experienced on many occasions. But, just like with happiness, it’s important to nurture what creates joy in your life. The Dalai Lama and Archbishop Tutu are great humans sharing thoughts on how to do this.
Many years ago, I spent a month in Norway. It wasn’t winter, but I understood why Scandinavia, a land of cold, snow, and ice is a place that cultivates a lifestyle focused on Hygge, hyggelig, mysigt or coziness. Every home that I stayed in had fireplaces, tiny saunas, delicious jams, and cozy throws. There is a constant focus on staying cozy and comfortable and I love it.
I remember when this book first came out and I still love the idea behind it. If you’re having a hard time nurturing happiness in your life, look at how one woman in New York City focused on it in her life.
There is nothing better than taking a hot shower and scrubbing off all of your dead and gross skin. And the best part, you smell great afterwards and your skin is so nice and soft.
If you’re not feeling up to using a gold mask, why not try out a mud mask? There is nothing better than the feeling of the mud tightening your pores and drawing out all of your impurities.
I know a couple of people in my life who need a bath kit like the one below. Take a bath or shower with a delicious smelling body gel or body scrub and finishing up with a nice lotion is so dang relaxing.

Thinking About Starting a Blog?
I love blogging! It has been an incredible experience, transformed my life, and connected me with a ton of amazing people. Blogging is a pretty cheap activity and I recommend hosting your blog with Siteground. Many bloggers have begun leaving HostGator and BlueHost and moving to Siteground. Myself included! Read why I’m leaving HostGator and BlueHost (I have 2 blogs one on each hosting platform) and moving to Siteground. If you’re a new blogger Siteground will cost around $3.95 a month (depending on the size of your audience). They have great customer service and tutorials on how to host your new WordPress blog on Siteground

- Courses
- Books
- Swag
- Make Money with Ebooks–There is more than one way to make money with your writing skills. I’ve created this course to help inspire, educate, and support writers who are sitting on a book idea…and are afraid to write it. This is YOUR year. Make Money with Ebooks is offered at three different tiers to meet different student needs.
- Self-Study
- Group Program-Includes access to the closed Facebook Group and twice a month live office hours.

- $10KVA–Are you curious about becoming a Virtual Assistant as a side-hustle or a potential full-time gig? My friend Kayla Sloan is killing it as a Virtual Assistant and schooling other entrepreneurs in how to become a VA that earns on average $10KVA. This course is what I recommend as the first part of creating a virtual assistant business.
- IMark Interactive–Grayson Bell helps me with all of my website related tech issues and he is THE go to guy for WordPress related tech in the several different blogging niches (all the Personal Finance peeps work with him).
- Elite Blog Academy-Many bloggers have gone through this course and I consider this course the “Granddaddy” of all blogging courses. It’s not cheap, but in additional to getting all of the resources that are key to building an incredible blog, you’re also become a part of an insanely supportive (and huge) community of bloggers. Many of whom are making crazy money.
