This yeas is going to be the year! I’m going to kick my weight to the curb. Actually, I was doing a pretty great job of losing weight last year…then, the mid-term elections stressed me the hell out and I emotionally ate for 5 months. I can laugh about it now. But, if you’re like millions of people excited about the New Year and are looking to get fit, you may want to treat yourself (friend or family member) to one of the items below. Your favorite fitness enthusiast will love the gifts below!

17 Gifts for the Fitness Enthusiast
Don’t laugh if you see me wearing one of these tank tops in my Instagram stories. I had a lot of stress related physical ailments last year. This tank reminds me to let that shit go. Good advice!
One of the easiest and best workouts is jump roping. I love that they are ridiculously light weight and take up hardly any space in your suitcase when traveling. If you have your own office (with blinds and a door) you can also get in a quick 10 minute workout (just have some baby wipes so that you don’t stink afterwards LOL!)
Keeping hydrated is so important. Colorado people obsessively carry water bottles around because it’s so dry here. It doesn’t matter where you live-drink water! Hiking, biking, walking, or taking a class-you need a nice water bottle.
I love taking yoga. I don’t love using the equipment in the studios because they can be gross. The funny thing is, I’m not a germaphobe. But, I know how much I sweat in class so….there’s that.
Most of us need to do some resistance training. Kettle bells are are great way to do weight resistant workouts from home.
Let’s be clear. I’m of the personal belief that you can never have enough socks. You might as well wear some fun socks while working out.
For my Crossfit obsessed friends, keep track of your Workout of the Day in this journal.
If you don’t want a ridiculous amount of callouses on your hands, protect them with these gloves. Dead weights wait for no one! Pun intended 🙂
Keep your hair out of the way and keep sweat from dripping into your eyes with these cute headbands. I have big hair and I sweat like crazy. Can’t wait to get a few of these. I also like how wide the band is and the cheerful colors.
I grew up hiking in tennis shoes. I’m actually amazed that my feet survived the experience. Last year I splashed out on some good hiking shoes and they ROCK! Hiking has been a lot more comfortable and the ridges at the bottom of my hiking shoes help with navigating the terrain. Investing in hiking shoes was worth every single cent. But, I hike almost weekly during the summer so the cost over time makes sense.
There is nothing cute about hiking without enough water. The camelback below is cute and carries a ton of extra water in addition to the bottle of water that you should also be carrying.
The story is that my first bike ride happened a week after birth. I believe this because back in the day parents didn’t worry about riding bikes with newborns. It’s my belief that my first bike ride kicked off a lifelong love of riding that I still have to this day. I have a cruiser hybrid and I love it so much.
Rock climbing and bouldering is so much fun….but, my butt is so heavy. It’s a serious workout. The shoes below are super lightweight and help with toe gripping as you make your way up the wall.
Any workout that incorporates ballet is a workout for me. And, every dancer loves looking a bit sexy while working out!
For some reason my feet are way too smooth. Maybe it’s because I’m always giving myself pedicures. Whatever it is, I end up sliding around when I’m doing yoga and other activities that you’re normally doing barefoot. These foot grips help with that problem.
I may have way too many pairs of leggings with mesh cutouts in them. They are so damn cute! Athlesiure is a thing and often after a nice hike or workout my friends and I find ourselves having a drink or happy hour. These leggings are cute enough to make the transition from workout to hanging out during the day.
The best fitness related purchase that I made two years ago was this fashion bangle for my FitBit flex. Because it’s so cute I wear it daily and I get compliments on it from men and women! It’s also a conversation starter when people notice the FitBit lights illuminating when I’ve hit a goal (daily steps, etc.) I also belong to a couple of FitBit groups that are really competitive and my bangle keeps me focused on kicking my friend’s butts when we’re competing in a challenge.

Thinking About Starting a Blog?
I love blogging! It has been an incredible experience, transformed my life, and connected me with a ton of amazing people. Blogging is a pretty cheap activity and I recommend hosting your blog with Siteground. Many bloggers have begun leaving HostGator and BlueHost and moving to Siteground. Myself included! Read why I’m leaving HostGator and BlueHost (I have 2 blogs one on each hosting platform) and moving to Siteground. If you’re a new blogger Sitegroundwill cost around $3.95 a month (depending on the size of your audience). They have great customer service and tutorials on how to host your new WordPress blog on Siteground

My friend Kayla Sloan is killing it as a Virtual Assistant and schooling other entrepreneurs in how to become a VA that earns on average $10KVA. This course is what I recommend as the first part of creating a virtual assistant business.
- IMark Interactive–Grayson Bell helps me with all of my website related tech issues and he is THE go to guy for WordPress related tech in the several different blogging niches (all the Personal Finance peeps work with him).
- Elite Blog Academy-Many bloggers have gone through this course and I consider this course the “Granddaddy” of all blogging courses. It’s not cheap, but in additional to getting all of the resources that are key to building an incredible blog, you’re also become a part of an insanely supportive (and huge) community of bloggers. Many of whom are making crazy money.
