Last year I stumbled upon a cool tool that I absolutely raved about for an entire year. It’s only been recently that people have begun to “hear” me and get why this tool is SO.DAMN.COOL. For people who are marketing their businesses, trying to get clients, reaching out to sponsors, then I would argue how to send video email (and why you should) is so important.

Why You Should Send Video Email
Here’s the thing, a lot of people don’t really know that video email is a thing. We use tools such as: WhatsApp, Messenger, Facetime, Skype, and Zoom but people still haven’t begun actively using video in email.
Jump on this opportunity.
I’m going to begin this post by sharing why you should send video emails and finish it with the how.
During the past year I discovered a tool that I used to send video emails. I had a couple of ideas on how it could be effective. I began to experiment with it and I was very excited about the results.
You should send video emails for the following reasons:
- You’re able to create high impact experiences with the “Brand of YOU”
- No one else is really doing this outside of certain professions such as “realtors/real estate”
- Create higher conversions for your products
- Incredible for marketing
Here’s a link to the tool if you’re super impatient. But, continue reading through the post 🙂
For Conference Networking
I first used this tool at the FinCon2017 Conference. FinCon has become a pretty large conference over the years and many attendees struggle with ways to stand out from the crowd. Yes, I’m good at networking, but when you’re meeting hundreds of people in a really short time-it’s easy to forget who is who.
Video email helped me create impactful follow up emails with people that I met during the conference. When I sent video emails people remembered who I was immediately and I was able to better sustain the connection. The video allowed me to stand out from the crowd.
In fact, I even sent an email to author, David Bach, and he was amazed by it! At the time, I was looking for more freelance clients and I was able to follow up with the editors that spoke with at the Freelancers’ Marketplace and was able to stay top of mind with the editors that I connected with during the conference.
For Attracting Students
To your paid products such as coaching programs or courses that you’ve developed. You’re able to reach out to individuals who’ve expressed interest in whatever it is you’re selling. You can send a personalized video addressing their concerns directly. If they email you, you’re able to send an email that touches on everything that they asked you about in their email!
It’s faster than sending a type written email and there’s none of the confusion that happens when sending a typed out email. Nuances, inflections, and tone of voice aren’t left to guesses-they are very clear.
Video is KING
There is a reason why Youtube, Instagram Stories, and other video facing products and services are so popular.
Here are some statistics from a Wordstream post from earlier this year (quoted from the site).
- “45% of people watch more than an hour of Facebook or YouTube videos a week.”
- “1/3rd of online content consumed is video”
- “Marketers who use video grow revenue 49% faster than non-video users.”
If these statistics aren’t enough to persuade you to incorporate video email I’m not sure what will.
BombBomb
Is the tool that I use to send my emails. Check out the website here!
I love BombBomb for several reasons:
- It’s easy to use
- I can see exactly when people open my email and watch the video.
- You can create a standard email to be used for on-boarding clients.
- Templates can be created and integrated with your email service provider
- They have great customer service
- A pretty decent affiliate program. They pay %15 percent of the monthly subscription that a member signs up for with your link.
Caution
- Resist the urge! Do not send constant video emails to people. It will lose the effectiveness over time if you email people via video when it’s unnecessary.
Only downside?
- If you forget to turn off the notifications, you will have them popping up on your phone ALL DAY LONG. Call customer service so they can walk you through how to turn those off.
Have you used video emails before? Have you received video emails before? What did you think?

Thinking About Starting a Blog?
I love blogging! It has been an incredible experience, transformed my life, and connected me with a ton of amazing people. Blogging is a pretty cheap activity and I recommend hosting your blog with Siteground. Many bloggers have begun leaving HostGator and BlueHost and moving to Siteground. Myself included! Read why I’m leaving HostGator and BlueHost (I have 2 blogs one on each hosting platform) and moving to Siteground. If you’re a new blogger Siteground will cost around $3.95 a month (depending on the size of your audience). They have great customer service and tutorials on how to host your new WordPress blog on Siteground
