It’s finally summer and I’m noticing that in some respects the blogging “season” eases up a bit as people are out and about-myself included! As you hang out on patios and have a beer or glass of wine I hope you’re remaining focused on all of your personal and finance goals.
Here are some great reads from this month.
Jen at The Happy Homeowner freaked all of us out after reporting she had had a heart attack. She talks about this in her post: The Day I had a Heart Attack. We are all relived to hear that she is on the mend and that her condo has sold!
Grayson at Debt Roundup wrote an amazing post that actually almost made me cry. He confirms my belief that there are a lot of good people out there in the following post: A Sad View Into Making Ends Meet.
Tonya at Budget and the Beach talks about Job Anxiety. I re-read this post and also thought. Wow! So, many options! There is a movie where Robin Williams plays a Russian Immigrant and goes to the grocery store. He ends up in the coffee isle and ends up overloading from all of the choices. Then he faints. That’s too many options!
Mr. 1500 at 1500 Days to Freedom (who better be at the next #pf meet up!) Cracks me up (no pun intended) in the following post: Thursday Rant: Crapdance! You must read it hearing this voice (HAL) from 2000 Space Odyssey. Watch the whole video first-THEN read the post. It’s quick!
Check out this post from Mish from Mish Lovin’ Life : Sometimes you have to suck it up. I love her writing style and positive energy!
Over at Save.Spend.Splurge MochiMac talks about Filial Piety 101. I am in the process of writing a post that is similar…and a little different. Basically, I have been thinking about those of us who are starting to help our parents. You may find that you’re in a similar situation due to culture, your own personal expectations, or because of life circumstances.
I am going to include a post I wrote this month that I had a fantastic time writing! It was my first RANT. I wrote about some things that have been on my mind for awhile. What do you think?
