There is a long period of time in the writing life of most bloggers where no one is reading their blog. We are writing for a couple of friends, and maybe our Grandmothers.
I, of course went through that stage. Maybe I’m still in it? During that time I wrote (what I feel) were some fun and interesting posts that I would like to share with you again.
1.) Take the ‘cuffs off Mr.. Grey or “How a money conversation would go with 50 Shades.” I won’t lie-I had a lot of fun writing this at the time!
2.) Quitter-Book Review-Anyone in the process of changing their life should read this book. I really enjoy Jon Acuff’s take on approaching adversity in life and creating opportunities.
3.) Rediscovering Passion-I’m beginning to feel the flames of passion start to really burn. I should point out that it has been almost a year since I wrote this post. It took that long to burn through the funk that I had been in. So, if you’re feeling a little low understand that it’s a process.
4.) Veronica Mars Makes a good case for teen employment-I think that it’s important for young people to experience work. They learn valuable life skills such as: time management, accountability, multitasking, and money skills. I started working at 16 years old after a lot of pleading with my mom.
5.) The Tale of the Homeless Woman at Starbucks-I’ve written a few posts about homelessness in the past year. I believe this post was the first. This is a problem in our society that we need to get serious about.
6.) Don’t Settle for Plan B-Find a way to get to Plan A-This was a guest post that I wrote for Money, Life and More. There was a serious technical glitch that day (post didn’t show up) so sadly no one was able to read it. I still really like this post and I think it’s something to think about.
