Dear Tom,
I had planned on mailing a thank you card but you don’t have a p.o. box listed. Given that we connected via social media-I thought this was a lot more fitting. I must admit that I was sooo excited when you contacted me, I am a huge admirer of your work and it has had a huge affect on me. I also must admit that I wasn’t sure that you would actually connect with me because you’re a bigwig and I’m a small personal finance blogger trying to figure my life out.
How wrong I was.
Having treaded water for so long it has been a huge blessing for me to find something that I love so much. Personal Finance blogging has not only helped me focus on my current and future financial goals it has helped me to identify a new business related passion that I am so excited to focus on. The time you took to help me clarify my approach to making this business passion happen, identify other ways to approach it, and your belief that I could succeed was a priceless gift.
It made me feel a little emotional because I have felt very alone as I work towards my dreams. Having you and my fellow personal finance bloggers (and dear readers) support me has been an amazing gift.
I can’t thank you enough for the work that you do and continue to do to help others reach their dreams. I will also use the advice and guidance that you gave me to work towards the goals that we discussed. Please continue doing the work that you do. You are making a difference. And just so you know-
YOU ROCK!!!
Thank you,
Michelle

I was quite frankly blown away by the amount of time he spoke with me, the observations that he made concerning my business, and a number of other things. I am very aware of what a wonderful opportunity and experience this was and I won’t take if for granted 🙂
