As is normally the case, I’m touching base with you (my wonderful readers!) and letting you know what’s going on in my corner of the blogosphere. Recently I ran a survey to touch base with my readers and I was pretty excited because I found out that I had a pretty good “feel” for who is reading my blog and listening to my podcast Girl Gone Frugal. So, I have some blog and Girl Gone Frugal Updates. Here is what I found out and the changes I will make based on these findings.
Biggest Surprise
Most of my podcast listeners are male. I wasn’t expecting that but I’m really happy to expand my audience and connect with the guys! They also would like my podcast to share 2 episodes a week. So beginning next week Girl Gone Frugal will have two podcast episodes a week starting on Tuesday.
Most Requested Topics
People would like for me to share more personal stories. I realized that I share a lot of thoughts and observations…but not necessarily personal stories so I will begin doing that as well.
Other topics that resonated with people were people on an entrepreneurship journey and pursuing your dream life. I will continue to write my normal posts but I will make sure to add posts addressing those topics and have made a point of connecting with people who are entrepreneurs and living their dream life for Girl Gone Frugal.
Blog Post Schedule
I will continue scheduling blog posts on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays. But, you might notice that I may schedule two posts on those days-one in the morning one in the afternoon. I’m actually pretty happy to continue with this schedule because publishing daily was really intense! I like the time in between posts for blog promotion and answering comments.
Girl Gone Frugal Schedule
I will share two interviews a week. One on Tuesday and one on Thursday starting on September 1, 2015.
Next Girl Gone Frugal Interviewee!
On Tuesday, September 1, 2015 I will share my interview with J “Poppi” Ultra Romance who is just the coolest guy. If you’re not familiar with him, he has recently become really well known for his approach to life-style design. He works about 6 months out of the year and then explores and rides his bike for the other 6 months.
While this might not be the lifestyle you would want-he shares some incredibly helpful tips on how to create the life that you want. You can read about him in this recent Business Insider article. You can also check out his Instagram feed (he has almost 58,000 followers) here: Ultraromance
Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to give me feedback. It was so helpful and I appreciate your input very much!

I think everyone who blogs should do a survey from time to time. I was really surprised by the results.

I think everyone should do a survey. I was really surprised by a few of the results. The great thing is as I work on my editorial content moving forward I can make sure that I writing stuff that my readers want to read-within the context of my own personal story.
