Hey everyone remember that podcast that I used to do and took a 7-month break on? Well it’s back as I mentioned in a post last week and I’m loving it. This week I feel like talking about food.
I am completely convinced that one of the main components to kicking your budget’s butt to the curb is getting a major handle on your food expenses. It feels like every time you step out of the house there is food EVERYWHERE.
As a person who lives to eat and doesn’t eat fast-food, I have some very specific ideas about how to slash your grocery budget, eating healthy when you don’t have a lot of cash and the different hacks that I use to keep my food budget low.
I discuss these things and more on this episode of Girl Gone Frugal (again).

I have a lot of friends who are parents now and I have learned a lot from watching what they are doing. I don’t really buy convenience foods now but I’m 100% positive that will change when I have kids. I do love Amy’s products btw. I got rid of my microwave oven around 6 years ago so a lot of foods I can’t buy. But, I’ve noticed that I’ve saved a lot of money because I make most of what I eat from scratch. I have Chinese Bamboo steamers and a small indoor grill pan (love that thing). Registering those cards is key to keeping life simple. I hate saying my telephone number in front of strangers-I always wonder if a creeper is listening in.

I think Michelle you can post your meal plan for the week or some rundown of recipes you’re planning to have. That would be great! Then, maybe in the future, you can take a video of what you’re cooking.

That’s in the works but I’m working on something else that I think will be really helpful. No videos though-I don’t have the patience for them.
