In between bouts of crazy rain the sun came out and the skies dried up enough for a lovely visit with Derrick and Carrie. If you’re not familiar with them, they are the masterminds behind the Podcast and Blog-Derrick and Carrie.
Like most couples they had to work through some financial seriousness that occurred at the beginning of their relationship and their marriage. As a result of working together, deepening their communication, and shared long-term goals, they are now travel around the United States with their adorable daughter Amalie promoting their new book: One Bed, One Bank Account.
As a person who is excited about meeting “The One” I find the conversations that they are having to be incredibly valuable as I think about what I need to do to make sure that my financial situation is stable and be able to anticipate some of the conversations that may come up when discussing my finances with another person.
Which I’ve Basically Avoided.
