*2/1/2016 Girl Gone Frugal has changed its name to The D.O.N.E. Society*
Hi everyone! Finally, finally I am ready to go live with Girl Gone Frugal my podcast about living your most abundant life and being happy!
I am so excited about this project and look forward to having a conversations with unconventional thinkers, people living abundant lives that are considered against the norm, and just, having fun talking about things that I might find challenging to write about.
Just in case you’re new to The Shop My Closet Project blog. It’s basically a blog detailing my struggles and triumphs over indebtedness, managing self-esteem, and changing my relationship with money.
I started out as a person who didn’t really think about my habits with money. As a result, I got further and further into debt. As I blogged about my journey from mindless spendthrift to a Girl Gone Frugal I started to break all of the mindless habits that kept me trapped and kept me from living the life that I wanted to live.
Episode One-An Introduction (11 minute run time)
I discuss the following:
- Why I decided not to edit the podcast
- The rationale behind starting a podcast
- Lessons learned
- Habits broken
- Next week’s episode with Melanie from Dear Debt!
I am still in debt and am paying it off one dollar at a time. The process isn’t painful anymore. I feel super empowered and hope to share information, tips, and ideas that can help you become a Girl (or Guy) Gone Frugal.
Talk to You Soon 🙂

Just listened! I think you are so right that sometimes you just have to get started. There’s never really a “perfect” time, so waiting only delays your dreams. I look forward to hearing more!
Michelle says
Thanks Jessica!! I’m just not interested in waiting anymore to take action. I’m just going to take action and then make adjustments as I go along.
