Wow! I can’t believe that I ended up taking most of the summer off from blogging. I really needed the break and I worked on a lot of projects behind the scenes as I geared up for Fall. It has been a really challenging year personally and professionally and I find it annoying how it’s in those moments that you experience the most growth. Couldn’t I just experience growth in a less painful way? Today I’m launching season three of the Michelle is Money Hungry Podcast and I decided to record it from the patio of my favorite coffee shop. This post includes my July blog income report as well!
*In order for me to support my blogging activities, I may receive monetary compensation or other types of remuneration for my endorsement, recommendation, testimonial and/or link to any products or services from this blog. Please read my disclosure here.*

July Blog Income Report
I decided not to publish new content on both of my blogs for the majority of the summer. Despite that, the little blogs that could, still managed to make money. My blog income reports do not include the following:
- Freelance writing income-because I have a passive income focus, I only report income that has been generated passively by my actual blogs, podcasts, etc.
- Received income only-I do not include pending income in my reports. I think it’s confusing and until the money is in my actual hands-it’s not real.
- Incomplete Earnings-I also do not share earnings that haven’t hit the designated payout threshold-it’s confusing and you may NEVER end up hitting that threshold.
Here are My Earnings:
- $100.30 Google Adsense -It’s hilarious to me how long it can take to earn this payout.
- $97-Course purchase-I’ve rolled out some courses and this was the initial purchase on one of them.
- $75 Sponsored post-That’s way underpaid, but I’d agreed to it awhile ago and the person reached out to me again.
- $25.25 Ibotta payout (I love Ibotta!)
Total: $297.55 (cash received)
By the way, I actually earned a lot more than this passively during the month of July-BUT, that income has not hit my account yet. That income will be reported in my September income when I receive that payout.
Non-Cash Earnings:
- $30 Hello Fresh credit
- $20 ThredUp credit

Great podcast, Michelle. I honor your honesty. And, it was very helpful information. I leave the podcast with the mantra “passive income”! Lastly, your comments on blog income gave me good insight into my long term plans. Look forward to next week. Oh, next time you’re in my area, let’s have coffee. It would be wonderful to see you.

Thanks Melisa! I’ve really been working on passive income and switching my focus to what’s really going to make a difference. I haven’t been to Kathmandu in awhile-let’s meet up in September!
