This spring I experimented with an extended blogging schedule. I was really proud of myself because I was able to write and publish a post 5 times a week while being overseas. I found it very challenging and actually kind of fun to see if I could maintain this schedule given my traveling, where my head was at, and starting my freelancing career from scratch.
Summer Blogging Changes
But, it’s that time of year when I like to slow my pace down a little bit and this year I would like to free up more time to complete some of my personal projects. With that said, starting next week I will be posting only three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays again. It’s almost summer (she says hopefully after dealing with crazy snow this weekend) and I am hoping that you’re going to be out and about living life and enjoying the dream. Or, I hope that you’ll be rocking the side hustles because summer ironically is prime time for side hustling. Just remember the story of the ant and the grasshopper.
Upcoming Projects
What happened to my podcast? I actually didn’t really love the name so I had to start again. I’ve renamed my podcast-actually Kim Anderson from Thrifty Little Mom helped me with this (she has amazing ideas!) So, I will be working on that. I also would like to work on two different e-books that I would like to publish by the end of this summer.
So, this summer I will be working super hard freelancing, side hustling, and focusing on my personal life. I can say that even though there have been some negative consequences from my change to freelancing full-time, overall I am very, very happy with my decision to move forward with full-time freelancing. I will write a post about that at the end of the month. I just would like to take care of any projects that have been pending for way too long. Those projects are energy suckers and I want to take care of them.

I’ve been amazed at your posting schedule, knowing that many bloggers let their blogs waste away after they really pursue freelancing. And then I miss them! I think three times a week is plenty – summer or not!
My summer plans? Sigh… I’m working 11-12 hour days, so will there be a such thing as summer?

I just wanted to see if I could do 5 days a week. I’ve learned that I can but I really would like to focus on Colorado Luv Hub. And in order to get that going I have to go out and explore Colorado LoL! I will be working those long hours to my friend. The Ant and the Grasshopper. The Ant and the Grasshopper.

I don’t blame you for wanting to slow down a bit during the summer. Ever since I started freelancing I’ve only been posting on my own blog twice a week and that’s all I can handle for now. I’d rather focus on quality over quantity. But as work should pick up during the summer, I’ll probably start waking up a bit earlier to get work done on weekends because I love that feeling of having the rest of the day to yourself to relax and do whatever. Can’t wait to read your post about freelancing later this month!

I used to post 3 times a week and I really enjoyed that. I just wanted to see if it was even possible to post five times a week. Mission accomplished! I will waking up early too 🙁 I am not a morning person, but, as long as I have to deal with a whole bunch of people I’m good!

What are the negatives to freelancing? It’s something I’ve considered over the years but have been too afraid to pursue actively. I’m interested in learning what’s gone well and what has been not so fun.

There are negatives which I will talk about towards the end of the month! I’m still happy that I’ve made this switch…but there are downsides.

Michelle, I am still very impressed that you could only post three times a week. Considering the quality of post you do, wow! Hope you would be consistent. Congrats on a job well done.

Thanks Jayson, I actually started out posting 3 times a week! I just wanted to challenge myself and see if I could do 5 times a week. Now that it’s summer-I’m going ease off and focus on some other projects.
