In February, Glen-the owner of Monster Piggy Bank wrote a very interesting post about being spread too thin and trying to do to much. He talked about the need to focus on what was important and then he did something that we can learn a lesson from-he asked for help.
Glen owns several websites and decided to ask for help with one of his sites: The Money Spot. Even though I was on “vacation” I was still actively blogging, commenting, and looking for new opportunities. So, I decided to throw my “hat” in the ring!
The Money Spot (www.thespot.org)
I am pleased to say that Glen asked me (and another blogger named Robbie) to work with him on The Money Spot. I am quite excited to contribute to this new endeavor and write posts that I typically wouldn’t write for The Shop My Closet Project. My first post will go “live” on Wednesday and it’s a pretty hot topic-I talk about how my position on minimum wage changed after visiting Australia. And, yes, I was surprised by my reaction.
I also look forward to collaborating with men and hearing their “voice” and understanding better their perspective concerning money (especially as I kick off my dating 2015 extravaganza LOL!)
So, I hope you join us at The Money Spot and join in as we explore the topic of money.
Colorado Luv Hub-Call For Contributors
In keeping with Glen’s asking for help I have also decided to ask for some help with Colorado Luv Hub. Now, that I am back I actually have begun typing away on fun posts about the Denver/Boulder metro area that will be “live” soon -REALLY! But, I don’t live in every part of Colorado and I think that if I have a blog called Colorado Luv Hub it’s important to share information about all of the state. Now, I’ve been all over the state, but I haven’t lived everywhere.
What is Colorado Luv Hub?
It’s a blog celebrating all aspects of Colorado: lifestyle/people/products/places and business. (www.coloradoluvhub.info)
If You Would Like To Contribute:
- I am unable to pay at this time-but this is a great way to add to a travel writing portfolio
- I like posts that are at least 750-1200 words (and 1 or 2 pictures)
- Am hoping for posts about living in: the mountains/southern parts of the state/and anywhere in between.
- I would love some posts about the craft beer culture here-I don’t really drink beer so I need help with that!
- If you live in the Denver/Boulder area I am hoping for posts from that area preferably by a Millenial or a Baby Boomer.
- You don’t have to live in Colorado to contribute! Maybe you’ve visited recently and had a great experience-share!
- Contact me: coloradoluvhub@gmail.com I will respond within 48 hours

Congrats on the new gig! I have some pretty strong opinions on minimum wage so I’ll be looking forward to reading your post.
You’re definitely not letting the grass grow beneath your feet!!!
Well done!

Thanks Diane! I think that post might create an active discussion on wages. No rest for the wicked 🙂

Thanks Melanie!! Keep us posted on what you decide to do re: Moving. I actually am rooting for L.A. so that I can visit 5 people at one time instead of 3. Just saying, am selfish.

I’ve already learned about the Burt’s Bees story…which is kind of sad 🙁 I like seeing the male take on things!
