I’m taking a SHORT break from using technology. I use the computer every day at work and for blogging. I am exhausted. I won’t be tweeting, on Facebook, or answering emails for the next few days. All blog comments will “Go Live” on January 1, 2014
*Short post*
Saving for Travel (UK) and Laura from Move to Portugal are doing a “Sealed Pot challenge.” Basically, they have a sealed container that they are using to save for a goal. They will be saving for a year and cashing out the money the first week of December 2014. I think this is a super easy and great challenge that all of us can participate in. I have a lovely porcelain piggy bank named Mr. Piggy. I will be filling him with cash until he can’t “eat” anymore. Then, I will find another object that I can use to save money.
So here is how it works
- Decide what you’re saving for.
- Decide an amount of money that you’re aiming for
- Save for a YEAR ! From today until the first or second week of December.
- Don’t cash in your savings.
- Don’t forget to add bills to your sealed pot/piggy bank. That’s from me!
If you’re going to join in please let me know so that I can give you a shout-out!!
Here are my details:
- I’m saving for my big 2015 goal. Will keep it to myself for now.
- I am hoping to save more than $1000!
- I will have to resist the urge to cash in the change mid-year 🙂 I’m in the habit of doing that, even when I don’t need the money. I just get excited to see what I’ve saved.
Am looking forward to doing this easy challenge.
What are you details? What are you saving for and how much?

I am so addicted to challenges. I’m actually doing a couple of other ones that I won’t mention until the end of January.
