If you’re not familiar with TOMS shoes than today is a great day to hear about this company. For those of you who don’t know me I am a shoe addict. My theory is that there is a shoe for every outfit. Right now I’m in month number 8 of a No Shopping Challenge. Basically, I have gone shopping for anything to adorn the body for the past 8 months. I haven’t even cheated. I would be lying though, if I didn’t admit that I miss buying certain things-shoes in particular.
$5 off any $25 or more purchase with code TOMSWINTER5 at TOMS.com! Valid through 1/31/14.
TOMS is a company that combines giving with entrepreneurship. Basically, it’s social entrepreneurship in fun shoes. The best part is that for every pair of shoes purchased, a pair of shoes are given to a child or adult who needs them through their One for One program. I was looking at the website and was surprised to see that they have also begun a program dealing with vision. As a person who has been wearing corrective eyewear since I was 12 years old, I can’t imagine living a life without something to correct my vision. Basically, I’m so near-sighted that I would be able to function without eyeglasses or contacts. For every pair of TOMS glasses sold, someone will receive either a pair of glasses, corrective surgery, or treatment to help with their vision. I encourage you to check out the TOMS’ website and learn more about these programs.
Yes, this affiliate post is going up on Thanksgiving. My theory is that if you’re going to spend I would rather you purchase something online, help someone else out, and hey I’m not above getting a small percentage of that sale 🙂 In addition to that you would STAY AT HOME, instead of going to the Mall and acting like a crazy.
Do you shop at companies with a social entrepreneurship model?
Which ones? What motivates you to work with those companies?

The shoes that I would buy if I weren’t doing a No Shopping Challenge. God I love these shoes! Yes, they are from TOMS! And of course they are expensive. The story of my life.

I just ordered my third pair of Toms last week! I wear those things until they have holes in them. I love the Classic Toms in neutral colors because I am THAT exciting. I do want a red pair though to mix things up 🙂

I really want that blue pair of wedges. Sadly, I’m not shopping right now 🙁 I do love the glittery ones too!
