I was hoping to take Tonya hiking here (Chautaqua Park)-but we were hangry (hungry + angry) so instead we decided to eat!!! Much better decision. I work close to this park and go hiking whenever it’s warm. This park is located at the base of the mountains (The Foothills).
We ate at Cuba Cuba then strolled down Pearl Street which is the main street in Boulder. It is a pedestrian street that people walk up and down. There are a ton of restaurants, bars, and stores with an emphasis on local retailers (no chain stores like Target, etc.)
We end up behind this girl who decides to say “Kathmandu” likes she’s English-but she’s American and she’s serious about saying it like a pretentious….Then, we pop into a jewelry store that I had heard is all made in the U.S.A. and we run into another girly who I want to name “Skye” and I just think “Come on-can’t you guys be normal while my friend is here?”

It’s time to go back to Dtown (Denver to you guys) and we head to my place that has now been nicknamed “The Shire.” Because it’s small and super cozy.

While on the Light Rail we look up and I SWEAR TO YOU WE SEE MORPHEUS FROM THE MATRIX AND HE IS LOOKING AT US. NO LIE!!
We shake it off, the go to dinner at Linger. I may have walked Tonya to death but it’s my usual m.o.
The next day we went and had a cajun breakfast in honor of FinCon14 (I had chicory coffee and beignets) walked in the park and then it was time for me to go to work and time for Tonya to go to the airport.
It is so fun to connect with my blogging friends in real life and I highly recommend that if you’re a blogger or reader (and feel comfortable with it) to connect!
